What to Look for in Luxury Hotel Residences
There are a lot of hotel residences in New York City that claim to be luxury hotels. In fact so many hotels claim to be luxurious that it is sometimes a little difficult to discern the true luxury brands from the ones that just claim to be a luxury hotel. There are a few things to look for that can help a person determine which of the luxury hotel residences in NYC are really luxury.
Notice the Details
The first thing to look at is the attention to detail. Often times the luxury is just on the front. The lobby my look like pure luxury, but there might be other areas that were either skimped on or overlooked. One example would be the sheets. This might seem like a minor issue to some people but for those who truly want luxury this is a very big deal. Look for hotel residences that offer the finest linens and thread counts. Other areas that are worth noting include the fixtures, countertops, cabinetry, and even the hallway decor. The more attention to detail, the more luxurious the residence is going to be.
Amenities and Services Available
Service is also very important when it comes to luxury and especially luxury residences. Take the time to talk to each of the workers. Do not just talk to the manager or front desk person. These people are trained in how to deal with customers and guests. The workers, on the other hand, are not trained in the same manner. That means that if they are nice and friendly then chances are that is who they truly are. There is more reason to believe that they are genuine. The hotel residences are only as good as the staff that runs it.
Finally, there is the location. This is one of the more important things to look for. It does not do much good to live in one of the luxury hotel residences in NYC that is so far away from everything. Look for one that is either right in the heart of it all or right near it. For New York City, this would mean something along the Fifth Avenue area near midtown Manhattan. This would be the most desirable area as far as being close to it all.
